Travis Kelce’s appearance has been the center of some hair-raising debate recently — so his barber is clearing the air.
Kelce, 35, has been sporting some longer locks than usual in recent months, which led to some online speculation that the Kansas City Chiefs star underwent a hair transplant.
“Nah, not at all, man,” celebrity barber Vince Garcia exclusively told Us Weekly. “That’s a full head of hair right there.”
Garcia, who is based in Los Angeles, last had Kelce in his barber’s chair in early March — the latest link-up in a friendship that dates back to 2020, when Garcia cut Kelce’s hair right before he won his first Super Bowl.
“Ever since then we’ve grown a really great relationship,” said Garcia, who spoke to Us via his partnership with American Crew. “Throughout the years, he’ll come to my barbershop [or] he’ll come to my house and get cut. The majority of his commercials I’ve done with him. He keeps me around to get him ready for an appearance or a TV show. Over the years of doing that consistently with him, it’s just like any relationship. The more you see each other, the more you grow personally.”
Garcia continued, “He’s a great dude, man. A great friend, as well.”
In addition to Kelce, Garcia’s celebrity clients include NBA star Devin Booker, Super Bowl champion Jalen Hurts, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton and rapper Ludacris. With such A-list clientele, Garcia explained how he’s learned his clients just want to be treated like everybody else.

“I’ve learned to read the room of who you’re dealing with and your surroundings,” Garcia said. “The first impression is everything. Working with all these athletes, you learn about who they are, what they deal with and how to be in certain rooms with them and how not to be.”
He added, “That’s a lot of what I preach to the younger generation of barbers about wanting to get into the space of being a celebrity barber. Understanding that it’s not all about taking a photo with them. These guys are really just trying to find someone they can trust and someone they can feel comfortable having them around in their personal space. At the end of the day, these guys are human just like us.”
As another way of paying things forward, Garcia has partnered with men’s hair brand American Crew on their Style Like a Pro campaign, which promotes athlete-led partnerships and high-impact activations. Garcia used American Crew products to help get a slate of NFL hopefuls — and Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave — ready for the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay last week.

Garcia lauded the fact that American Crew has “a whole line of different products for different textures and styles,” including their 3 oz. fiber puck.
“It’s something I couldn’t turn down,” Garcia said of the collaboration. “They’re probably first when it comes to grooming products, especially for men. All of my clients are well aware of the brand. A lot of them use it, as well.”
