Gerry Adams seeking to see the ‘record corrected’ in defamation case against BBC
The jury in Gerry Adams’ defamation action against the BBC has been told the case is “not a popularity contest” and must be decided on the basis of evidence put before the court.
The comments were made by Tom Hogan SC, counsel for the former Sinn Féin leader, who he admitted was “a polarising character”.
