Electric Callboy has parted ways with longtime drummer David-Karl Friedrich, who joined the group way back in 2012 when they were still called Eskimo Callboy. Electric Callboy only noted that Friedrich wanted to “do something new” and that they will not be cancelling any of their planned tour dates for 2025.
“Hey guys, something is going to change, and we want to share it with you today,” wrote Electric Callboy on their social media. “After all these years with us, David has decided that he wants to do something new and will follow his own path from now on.
“Of course, we’re really sad about this, but we also have great respect for his decision. We can look back on 13 years with David as our drummer, and no one can take away all the wonderful memories of our journey together. This time will always be a part of Electric Callboy. And for that, we say thank you! For his talented hands and feet, for thousands of crazy and emotional moments on and off stage, for lots of Hypa Hypa, and for more than a decade of EC on tour.
“And don’t worry: Of course, we will play all festivals and upcoming concerts with a drummer. We will let you know soon who exactly. Can’t wait to see you all this summer!”
