Not quite ready to say goodbye to Easter eggs for another year?
Then you might want to head to your nearest Aldi, as the budget supermarket is selling all their remaining chocolate eggs for just 9p.
In what shoppers are calling the ‘bargain of the century’, the German retailer has slashed the price of the seasonal treat to mere pennies.
Even items advertised on the shelves at their original price, are reportedly scanning at tills for the reduced 9p.
The offer is so good, that shoppers are convinced the discount has to be a mistake, with one commenter on Facebook writing: ‘Must be a glitch.’
But the deal, which has been dubbed ‘crazy’ is actually 100% legit – but you’ll have to be quick.
As Aldi said in a statement ‘hurry, because once they’re gone, they’re gone’, and shoppers are already lamenting that they couldn’t find the 9p bargains in their local Aldi.
‘People were filling their trolleys and they went in minutes,’ wrote one Facebook commenter, who reportedly works at Aldi.
And the workers claims were backed up, after a shopper posted an image of their own receipt from the Aldi in High Wycombe, which shows a purchase of 20 9p eggs.
Meanwhile, others are calling for a limit to be placed on how many 9p eggs can be purchased per person.
‘They should ration them to three per customer,’ wrote a frustrated commenter. ‘Not fair on everyone else if people are allowed to fill trolleys with them.’
‘I tried 3 Aldi stores near me and none had any Easter eggs left,’ added another unlucky customer.
The deal is available on all remaining chocolate Easter eggs across all Aldi stores, while stocks last.
It’s been back to back bargains at Aldi lately, who recently announced the return of its Specially Selected Pistachio Creme due to high customer demand.
The popular spread originally launched in November 2024 and fans were quick to rave about its creamy, nutty flavour, telling others to ‘run, don’t walk’ to pick up a jar from Aldi’s shelves.
Shoppers can find it in store again from April 27 for just £1.79.
