A feeling that her body was ‘broken’ led Galway-based GP, Dr Laura Lenihan, down the route of abdominoplasty. Here, she shares her story about why she opted for surgery

Dr Laura Lenihan, a mother of three girls, is well known to her followers on Instagram for her no-nonsense commentary on everything from haemorrhoids to using retinol products on the skin.
But after three pregnancies in a short space of time, her body didn’t feel like her own anymore. As someone who’s always been motivated by empowering other women to feel more confident in their own skin and bodies, she took the decision to share her own journey after seeking an abdominoplasty.
