Tusla, the child and family agency, has said it is “deeply concerned” and remains “vigilant” about the possible sexual exploitation of children in state care, with a spike in cases reported in the past two years.
In correspondence to Children’s Minister Norma Foley, the agency said it has made 115 child sexual exploitation reports to An Garda Síochána since 2021.
