Questions have been raised over why Sinn Féin’s Mairéad Farrell has not been reappointed as chairperson of the Dáil’s spending watchdog.
Last October, Sinn Féin appointed the 35-year-old Galway TD as chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and hailed her as the “first woman chair of the Public Accounts Committee and the youngest chair in its 25-year history”.
