National Asset Management Agency (Nama) chief Brendan McDonagh has been chosen as the “fixer-in-chief” to head up Housing Minister James Browne’s new Strategic Housing Activation Office (SHAO).
Although there are still details to be finalised, it is expected that his name will be brought to the Cabinet on Tuesday for approval along with terms of reference for the new unit, which will be set up to identify blockages in the housing delivery process.
