From the moment Pope Francis stepped out on to the Vatican balcony overlooking St Peter’s Square in March, 2013, his demeanour, name and, most of all, his apparel spoke of something different.
Gone was the pomp and grandeur; instead, he was clad in a simple white cassock and skullcap.
