Katy Perry has come under fire by some fans who have slammed her current world tour.
In recent weeks the pop star, 40, has been facing backlash for being part of Jeff Bezos’ 11-minute all-female Blue Origin mission into space.
She bore the brunt of most of the criticism with many questioning the environmental impact of what some are calling a ‘vanity flight’.
But after brushing off the criticism, also calling the flight ‘life-changing’, this week Katy has kicked off her Lifetimes tour, which is her first in seven years.
She’s due to perform 84 concerts, including eight in the UK.
However, after clips started emerging from the first show, which was held in Mexico City two days ago, many have branded it ‘cringe’.
Clips circulating on social media show Katy dancing on stage swinging from side to side and throwing her hands up in the air before wiggling her bum and pretending to fall on the floor.
After watching, many people weighed in – and were less than impressed.
‘This is the worst choreography I have ever seen in my life,’ Madji commented on TikTok.

‘Is she being bad on purpose?’ Marlee questioned.
‘Why does it feel like her opening night concert was more of a rehearsal than an actual tour performance?’ Gianfranco added.
Meanwhile Lucky quipped: ‘Maybe she should have gone to rehearsals instead of space.’
On X, user Mo wrote: ‘She needs to cancel this tour before it cancels her career I’m so serious.’
Others even went so far as to compare her dancing to viral Olympic breakdancer Raygun’s.
During her show Katy also appeared to reference her controversial space flight, asking the audience: ‘Has anyone ever called your dreams crazy?’
She also later posed for a selfie with two men wearing blue NASA jumpsuits.
Katy’s Lifetime tour will run until December 7 however she announced earlier this week that she’d been forced to cancel two major shows.
On Monday she revealed her concerts in Guadalajara, Mexico, scheduled for May 1 and 2 had to be called off after the stadium hosting them was not built in time.
‘Sadly, I learned that the construction of Arena Guadalajara will not be complete for their scheduled shows next week, which includes mine on May 1 and 2,’ she posted on Instagram.
‘Last week I sent my team to the Arena to make sure there wasn’t anything we could do to make this happen but it was evident when they arrived that the venue was not ready or safe to receive my show or an audience.
‘I wish I could fix this but it is beyond my control. You guys mean the world to me and we have all been on such a beautiful journey together that I will be thinking about how I can create something special for the fans in Guadalajara in the future. I love you ALL.’
