Pete Davidson is teaming up with Axe to give its social media followers a pep talk. The comedian will take over Axe’s Instagram page on May 1 at 4 p.m. ET to host the “Axe Me Anything” session, a Reddit-style “Ask Me Anything” conversation focused on confidence.
“I’ve been a fan of Axe since I was a 6 foot, 3 [inches], 90-pound teenager. So, teaming up with the brand made perfect sense,” Davidson said via statement. “I’m hyped for May 1 and having fun with fans on social, giving out whatever hilarious and maybe even good dating advice I can come up with.”

According to the brand, Davidson has long been an admirer of Axe products, specifically the Phoenix scent.
The social media takeover is just the beginning of their partnership. Davidson is also set to star in Axe’s “Short Kings” commercial, premiering later in May. In the new ad, the comedian will show how the right fragrance can give you confidence and improve your dating life.
The campaign will coincide with the release of the newest additions to Axe’s Fine Fragrance Collection: Cherry Spritz and Watermelon Freeze scents. Notes of crisp red apple and warm, rich amber describe the Cherry Spritz. Watermelon Freeze is a blend of watermelon, sage and key lime.
Both scents, in addition to the rest of the Fine Fragrance Collection, are available for purchase nationwide online and in stores at walmart.com.
