A young man, who posed as protector of a young girl, used his self-appointed role as cover for sexual assault.
The now adult offender pleaded guilty to the offence, committed when he was aged 16, at a hearing of the Circuit Court in Wexford. The offence dated back to one night in 2020 when the pair were both present at a birthday party.
