Query: Dear Mary Frances, I’m writing in the hope that you can offer some guidance on a delicate family matter. My mother passed away last year, and ever since, I’ve had the feeling that something isn’t quite right when it comes to her will.
In the months before her death, she mentioned several times that she had made “provisions” for me – small things like a piece of jewellery, a bit of money she’d saved and a painting she knew I loved since I was a child. Nothing major, but things that held meaning.
