Melissa x Nodaleto Collaboration: Release Info

Melissa and Nodaleto have teamed up on a new collaboration for spring. And Melissa’s signature jelly shoes are getting a revamp.

The collection includes two styles seen in the Nodaleto x Melissa Ruby ballet flat and Nodaleto x Melissa Possession sandal, all crafted from Melissa’s Melflex PVC material.

By partnering with Nodaleto, the Melissa sandal and ballet flat get an upgrade with a bold gradient color palette reminiscent of a summer day’s sunset and sunrise.

“The color we chose, Tangerine, holds a special meaning for us. It’s Nodaleto’s signature color — vibrant, warm, and full of attitude. We transformed it into a gradient to mimic a Rio de Janeiro summer sunset, and seeing it come alive through Melissa’s technology felt like capturing that sunset in motion,” explained Nodaleto founder Julia Toledano.

She added, “This collaboration was a natural fit, bringing together two distinct brands united by a love for bold aesthetics, emotional storytelling and creative freedom. At Nodaleto, we’re drawn to strong silhouettes and nostalgic references — designs that feel sculptural yet playful. Melissa, meanwhile, is the ultimate lifestyle brand: democratic, experimental and rooted in innovation. Coming together allowed us to reinterpret Nodaleto’s bold codes through Melissa’s material mastery and accessible spirit.”

For Toledano, working with Melissa was a welcomed challenge to think outside of the box. For her own brand, the designer has been used to working with leather and traditional luxury materials. “Melissa’s ability to mold, sculpt and finish plastic in ways that still feel luxurious and full of character was truly inspiring and creatively, mind-expanding,” she said.
