Munster have vowed to continue their fight to hold on to their Champions Cup status after the URC referees’ chief admitted their officiating error during Saturday’s controversial Thomond Park defeat to Bulls.
Italian referee Andrea Piardi incorrectly reduced Munster to 14 men for 13 minutes of the second-half of a 16-13 defeat which could cost the club a vast six-figure sum should they fail to qualify for the URC knock-outs or next season’s Champions Cup.
