For over a year, Polly, from Scotland, has been battling painful dermatitis on her hands, and despite her efforts no treatment has alleviated the issue.
The 52-year-old tried various steroid creams, body lotions, and dermatologist-prescribed therapies to treat her red, swollen, cracked skin, but to no avail.
When she was finally diagnosed with hand dermatitis, she was fast-tracked for UVB red light therapy, but this only exacerbated her severe sensitivity. Polly also trialled medication, and was required to get flu and pneumonia vaccinations, though she wasn’t comfortable with this.
Sharing her battle and search for a solution, Polly said: ‘Just over a year ago, I started experiencing redness, soreness, swelling, and painful skin cracks on my hands. I constantly wore gloves to hide my hands because I felt self-conscious, as if people might think I don’t take care of myself.
‘My GP prescribed steroid creams, body lotions, and other treatments, but nothing truly worked. While some provided temporary relief from dryness, they never fully absorbed or improved my condition. After months of back and forth with my GP, I was finally referred to NHS Dermatology, but the wait for an appointment was almost a year. When I was eventually seen, I was diagnosed with hand dermatitis and fast-tracked for UVB red light therapy. Unfortunately, due to my fair skin and sun sensitivity, the treatment caused prickly heat, and I had to stop it.’
Frustrated, self-conscious, and out of options, Polly finally found hope in an unexpected place – a £42 Nourishing Cream from Dermatology M.

Nourishing Cream
Dermatology M uses a blend of Chinese herbs to create a nourishing and gentle cream to soothe and repair the skin, particularly for those battling eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions. Formulated with anti-inflammatory Zi Cao (Redroot Extract), organic shea and cocoa butter to deeply nourish the skin and support the skin’s barrier. While the inclusion of cold-pressed evening primrose and safflower seed oil in the formula also treat inflammation, support the skin barrier and give the skin an extra boost of hydration.

Polly admitted she was dubious about the cream after trialling various lotions and potions over the year. However, desperate for a solution, she took Dermatology M’s online skincare quiz, and it recommended the bestselling Nourishing Cream. With its 5-star reviews, she decided to try the product, and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
Polly explained: ‘Then, I came across Dermatology M and everything changed. Within eight days, I noticed a huge transformation. One morning, I woke up, looked at my hands, and thought, “Oh my god, they finally look normal!”
‘I’m now two weeks in, and for the first time in over a year, I haven’t experienced cracks or severe dryness. My hands aren’t 100% back to normal yet, but the improvement has been incredible.
‘I can’t put into words how much this improvement means to me. Dermatology M has given me hope when I thought nothing would work. My jar is almost finished, and I will genuinely keep stocked up on this magic cream because I finally feel like I have something that truly helps.’

Polly is not the only fan of the brand, specifically this product. Dermatology M’s Nourishing Cream is quickly becoming a must-have for sensitive, dry, and damaged skin, and has racked up glowing reviews from other sufferers.
A separate shopper, names Isabel, shared: ‘Amazing cream, initially bought it for treating an eczema together with the soothing cream. And it worked magic. Now l use it everyday day to keep my skin nourished and smooth.’
While Karin from Canada gushed: ‘A Very Excellent product for soothing my eczema outbreaks! I would not use anything else.’
Whether you’re dealing with dermatitis, eczema, or extreme dryness, Polly’s story is proof that this science-backed skincare brand might just be the answer you’ve been searching for.
The Nourishing Cream is available in a 50ml and 200ml tub, which retail for £42 and £135 respectively.
