Lady Gaga was ready to put on another stunning show for her Coachella weekend two performance but her set was nearly derailed.
Early into the performance, the Poker Face hitmaker began to face some technical difficulties — with her microphone repeatedly cutting out.
It wasn’t a quick fix either as Gaga, 39, was stood on top of a cage-like structure which was designed to look like her dress.
After opening with Bloody Mary, she moved into recently released and wildly popular track Abracadabra from hit album Mayhem.
However, the recession pop belter was plagued with a crackling headset which Gaga cooly attempted to resolve while still performing.
She tweaked and twisted the microphone, which blended into her black bob, but it began to cut out so the audience could not hear her vocals.

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, continued to sing and perform her intricate choreography with only the backing vocals able to be heard.
Fans have declared she styled it out like a pro, performing until she was able to slip back through the skirt-cage structure and reappear with a handheld microphone.
She was forced to use this for much of the set, including through her many dance breaks and hit tracks like Judas.
By her fifth song, Mayhem’s Garden of Eden, it seemed the sound issues had been resolved and fans were able to enjoy the rest of the set in its full glory.

Emily Harman, 25, told Metro: ‘I heard the technical difficulties at the start, but to be honest, it was so styled out.
‘I thought she was amazing, it was a proper performance, almost play-like, with a running storyline, loads of dancing.’
Online, fans were praising Gaga for being ‘a pro’ and not letting the microphone issues unravel her stellar headlining set.
‘The way Lady Gaga handled her microphone malfunctioning was truly professional… what a legend 😭,’ said fan account Gaga Crave on X.
Is Coachella better than the UK festivals?
Emily Harman shared her experience so far at Coachella with Metro, having flown to the Colorado Desert from Bromley, London for the first time this year.
‘The outfits and fashion are very different,’ she revealed. ‘I think it’s different because some people try quite hard, which is quite obvious.
‘They’ve got sparkles all over them and stuff like that or they’ll just carry an inflatable around — so random. But there are some people just dressing very normally, like what we do at festivals.’
As for drinking culture, again this is ‘quite different’ to the UK, where she finds people can ‘get rowdy’ and end up ‘pushing you around’ all the time.
She explained: ‘When you’re dancing, everyone’s leaving you so much space, and it’s really nice. It’s just really good vibes. No pushing around, everyone’s just saying hi, and it’s just very nice, pleasant.’
However, this could be due to the fact that prices are ‘extortionate’ — even higher than Glastonbury — with one lemonade setting her back $15 (£11.30).
‘It had no alcohol in it, it’s just lemonade,’ Emily said. ‘Nice lemonade, freshly squeezed, but outrageous pricing.’
There was also one singular can of Heineken, which cost $17 (£12.80) — around the same price as a 12-pack of 440ml cans in the supermarket.
She added: ‘I got a gyro for $20 (£15), and the gyro wasn’t even that big, either. It was like half the size of a gyro that we’d get at home. All of that stuff is insane.’
Despite the price, Emily admitted she thought it was ‘just nicer than the UK festivals’.
Van_harv replied: ‘It looked like it was part of show, like Lady in Red was being hacked, intentional or not, she is a genius.’
‘Didn’t miss a beat and kept the show going! Truly a living legend,’ added XinionX.
‘I felt so bad for her, but she’s a professional. The show must go on,’ said AlexQWalker as chadsongwapo joked: ‘SHE SAID THE MIC IS ONNNNNNN.’
Fans reported hearing Gaga say ‘I’m ready’ before Garden of Eden began, reassuring her crew that she was not thrown off by the malfunction.
The Born This Way legend did address the microphone issue with the crowd, saying: ‘I’m sorry my mic was broken for a second, at least you know I’m singing live.’

Last weekend, Gaga’s Coachella show went off without a hitch and earned high praise for Mother Monster’s return to music.
As well as being a career-spanning two-hour set which was filled with Easter eggs, she split the performance into four acts and described it as an ‘opera house in the desert’.
After giving her gothic tracks some love, Gaga performed her career-launching 2008 single, Poker Face.
For this beloved hit, the stage set transformed into a massive chessboard as she and her dancers took part in a dance battle.
She closed her set with Bad Romance, before disappearing off stage, leaving fans wanting more as there was no encore to be seen.
