The last two weekends saw JD and Gorton-born rapper Nemzzz shut Manchester city-centre down, with a series of product giveaways, appearances, and exclusive performances, for the highly anticipated Airmax Dn8 launch.

Weekend one started with city-wide flyposting and custom street-signs, preparing for a super-car convoy consisting of a Mercedes G63, Can Am Maverick and a Land Rover Defender 6×6.

The convoy started in the rapper’s hometown, Gorton for a real community moment, then rolling into Exchange Square where crowds were given chances to win Dn8’s, as well as tickets to the shutdown performance in the final drop.

The finale hitting an underground car park in Deansgate, where DJ Rohxn and Zeddy East supported before Nemzzz stepped out.

Taking a final bow, JD and Nemzzz took it to the legendary Mancunian trams, where fans were treated to another unforgettable lock-in live appearance.
This time staged in a wrapped custom tram, painted with JD branding as well as the title of Nemzzz’s new release ‘Rent’s Due’. The ultimate final bow to the epic double weekend.

A showcase of speed, sound and community, the four-part activation has given the local community front-row seats and front-row access to a true local icon.Â
