Jack P. Shepherd, Patsy Palmer and Trisha Goddard face eviction in tonight’s Celebrity Big Brother and clearly one of them should get the boot over the other two.
Celebrity Big Brother has already lost two of its biggest characters, albeit with good reason, but it cannot afford to lose another personality. One who actually brings drama.
Sadly, for Coronation Street star Jack, audience members of Late and Live have had more airtime than he has.
Jack somehow received the most nominations for the first vote last week – eight in total, one more than Sir Michael Fabricant, a Tory MP who was in power when the UK fell apart at the seams beyond repair.
That’s quite some feat given the range of giant personalities he’s in there with, surely more annoying than the guy who just sits in the corner and sulks.
The house was a little kinder in week two, with just four nominations from Angellica Bell, Danny Beard, Donna Preston and Trisha.
The same reason keeps cropping up though – his wind-up sense of humour.

Where is this sense of humour that keeps getting him in trouble? We’ve seen absolutely none of it.
Without any loyalty to Coronation Street stars, I have no reason to vote for him, or to feel particularly aggrieved that he’s in there.
Will the house miss him if he goes? Will we even notice?
In all honesty, I’m neither for or against Jack and that’s the problem – he’s dead space.
Trisha and Patsy, on the other hand, have just given us the beginnings of a reason to tune into what has otherwise been a series plagued by the troubled behaviour of its biggest star, otherwise lacking in any real drama or humour.
Sorry, this video isn’t available any more.
With Rourke out of the house, other frictions are starting to become clearer and Trisha and Patsy are giving one of the strangest feuds in Celebrity Big Brother history, clashing over being from the West and East coasts of America, when both of them are actually from London.
Nominating Patsy last night, Trisha told Big Brother: ‘She as a Brit lived in LA. I’m from New York and LA people are more about the crystals and the vibes and all that. New York people, tend to be – generalisation – get it done, no messing about.
‘As lovely and sweet as you can be maybe you’re just too fragile to be in here.’
To be clear, Trisha was born and raised in the United Kingdom. Her talk show ran for two seasons in America and subsequently, she has been to New York – she is not from New York.

Clearly, this has been a point of contention between the pair as Patsy was well aware of Trish’s stance when giving her own nomination, complaining: ‘Neither of us are from LA or New York so what’s the about?’
There’s clearly been tension rumbling for days that we haven’t seen because Chris Hughes predicted, correctly, they’d both nominate each other, breaking the fundamental rule of discussing nominations.
Big Brother subsequently read Chris’ remarks aloud to the rest of the house, highlighting the feud even further.
At this point, losing either Pasty or Trisha would clearly be a mistake. There is a lifeline to salvage this series and their strange beef is it.
Patsy is adamant that she wants to leave tonight, suspiciously celebrating being up for nomination like so many others before her;those who pretend like they don’t live for public adoration despite working their whole life to get it.
Trisha has been more vocal (and honest), stressing she wants to stay.

With Rourke gone, she is clearly the most formidable housemate, who will be right at the centre of every argument going forward, whether she’s involved or not.
Anyone as forthright and intelligent as Trisha, combined with her genuine status as a national treasure, was bound to be trouble when they walked in, and she’s a brilliant nuisance in that house.
But Big Brother shines when it introduces conversations and stories few – if any – other reality TV series can share with the same power.
Trisha has stage 4 breast cancer, and while she’s stressed she doesn’t want pity, it’s undeniable she’s an inspiration. She’s receiving palliative care, and proving that you can do more than just live with cancer, you can thrive and take on challenges that go above and beyond staying alive.
Trisha isn’t a great housemate because of her journey though, she just has all the ingredients of a classic Celebrity Big Brother star – bold, sharp, says she’s ready for a ‘healthy debates’, which always descend into blazing rows, and is more than aware of her star power.

Patsy, too, has the potential to go all guns blazing. If you haven’t seen her hang up on Good Morning Britain, then please make that a priority after reading this piece.
We haven’t seen half of what Patsy is capable of when it comes to blazing rows because they’ve all been so muted with the unbearable presence of Micky Rourke.
Like I said, I have nothing against Jack. He’s at best and worst, fine – at least from what we’ve seen.
I do find it odd his housemates find him so difficult to live with when to watch he’s one of the few things duller than the livestream of Katy Perry’s space mission.
But fine is the last thing Celebrity Big Brother needs. We need brilliance, hilarity, and inoffensive but wince-inducing behaviour – Jack will produce none of these things.
He will sit in the background, only getting camera time when his name is read out for nominations again.
Patsy and Trisha are about to give Celebrity Big Brother fans a feast – and we have been starved of any truly great moments so far. Get rid of Jack so we can all tuck in.
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV 1
